Sole
Street also offers 10 acres of informal gardens, with extensive
lawns where guests may take advantage of the rustic tennis
court, or bring their own games of croquet and bowls. Younger
guests can enjoy hide and seek in the woodland, which boasts a
unique tree house, built by craftsmen in the hollow of an
ancient horse chestnut which still flowers every spring.
Three
different areas of Sole Street House and grounds are licensed
for weddings, civil partnerships, and baby naming ceremonies:
the drawing room, the ballroom and the tree house. Today's
owners, Rosalind Miles and Robin Cross, are pleased to cater for
parties of up to 100 inside the house, and up to 250 if a
marquee is hired. Disabled guests can be accommodated, and
families with children enjoy full access to the gardens and
woodland, where younger members of the party can run and play.
Sole
Street is also available for parties, anniversaries, renewal of
vows, memorial gatherings, business meetings and conferences,
and film and tv locations.
One
and all will be warmly welcomed by Rosalind and Robin and their
experienced team, who make every effort to ensure that Sole
Street House delivers its unforgettable magic for your special
event.
